The Nursery
This project holds a special place in my interior design portfolio, as it brings together imagination, learning, and real life.
During my interior design studies, we had a drawing class where we were asked to imagine a project and develop it through sketches for our academic portfolio. At the same time, I was pregnant in the final year of my course. Naturally, I chose to design my son’s nursery.
Conceived as a low-budget nursery project, this space was built on thoughtful choices rather than excess. I gathered inspirations and atmospheres that felt soft, warm, and reassuring, and translated them into hand-drawn concepts. The process was both an academic exercise in interior architecture and a deeply personal experience, where imagination flowed freely within clear budget constraints.
What makes this project especially meaningful is that it later became real. Seeing a concept evolve into a lived-in space shaped my approach to interior design: creating functional, emotionally grounded interiors that prove beautiful design can be accessible, intentional, and sustainable.
This project reflects my vision as an interior designer—designing warm, personal, and timeless spaces, even with limited budgets, where function and emotion naturally meet.
